Leadership Team
SHRI Foundation’s leadership team is very well-positioned to achieve its goal of “High Quality Sanitation for Everyone Everywhere”.
First, and most importantly, 75 of SHRI Foundation’s 78 full-time employees are from the communities the organization serves. As local community members, they are experts in the public health needs of their communities. Their inputs ensure that SHRI Foundation’s intervention is culturally appropriate and responsive.
Secondly, Chandan Kumar and Prabin Kumar oversee SHRI Foundation’s operations in Bihar and Jharkhand respectively. They have developed and executed SHRI Foundation’s O&M and M&E systems with supervisors, built SHRI Foundation’s staff training protocols that ensure facility safety and quality, and lead SHRI Foundation’s tablet-based data collection process. They have built a robust data infrastructure and dashboard that allows for real-time insights into facility performance, something that has never been done before in the context of India’s shared sanitation facilities.
Thus, SHRI Foundation’s entire team is committed to providing a preferential sanitation option for India’s poorest and most marginalized so that these vulnerable women, children, and men have access to the highest quality services they can get anywhere and everywhere, be it at their place of work or play or study or dwell.
